TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — What It Is

TabTrade launched in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That should round things out when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote a much wider range.

Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.

Regulation

Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your decision.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
